Vanilla Cake with Strawberry Cream Frosting by Baby Gizmo

You know when you see a really decadent looking recipe on Pinterest, and you figure the chances that you’ll ever actually make it are slim to none, but you Pin It anyway because it just looks way too awesome and delicious not to post so that everyone can see that you really enjoy looking at photos of awesome and delicious food? Yeah, this cake was totally one of those. Until tonight!

I definitely just made this pretty, pretty, pink strawberry-filled cake, and the only major problem with it is that it isn’t going to become edible until Easter Dessert tomorrow.

I must have seen this cake re-pinned on Pinterest a dozen times last week. Each time I drooled a little bit more. And what’s even more ridiculous is that I cannot look at it without being reminded of the Princess Peach Birthday Cake level in Mario Party 3. (Am I right?) To be honest, I’m not quite sure which of those two reasons made me feel like I could no longer just ogle at photos of it on the Internet, and ultimately caused me to have to make one of my own.
